I also finished a sweater for Elsie, the daughter of good friends in KC. She's so beautiful and I was planning to make a Pea Pod set for her, but I've never been able to get it printed out (long story!) Instead, I checked out EZ's Knitter's Almanac (they haven't had it at the LYS, but it took a while to dawn on me that I could check it out from the library while I'm waiting! I'm a little slow to catch on at times! I blame it on the kids.) and knit up the "February" baby sweater out of Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece in Tea Rose. It was done in less than 3 days and I love the way it turned out. It even fit like a little 3/4 sleeve cardigan on Lainey.... SO, I started one in Cotton Ease (the green matches several of her dresses) with a larger gauge for her! We've got a wedding to go to in Philly in October and she needs a little sweater with her dress.
I've also got a pair of socks going that will probably be for Lainey. They aren't going to be quite large enough for Hayden, so his pair will come next.
Lots of knitting going on here! More to show soon!

Love the booties and seeing the February sweater further convinces me that I should knit it--I have the Knitter's Almanac. I'm knitting the Cookie sweater from Miss Bea's Rainy Day right now in violet Cotton Ease--it's cute, but I'm nervous about sewing up the pieces. The February sweater would be mostly in the round... :)
Those booties are cute! and love the baby jacket too!
Thanks! They both were quick to knit, but not boring! Definitely try the February sweater. It's all in one piece.. the only seams are under the arms. I seamed them once the body was about an inch past, so all I had to do once I was done was weave a couple of ends and put on the buttons!
Wow! Your knitting skills are beyond those of mortal women....I don't think I've done that much this year.
The booties are very cute and so is the sweater.
Soooo cute, love the booties! I miss having babies to wear booties...sniff.
